About Marshall

Marshall Maude

Marshall Maude is a ceramic artist and educator based in Lawrence, Kansas. He serves as Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Visual Art at the University of Kansas, where he is also Co-Director of the School of the Arts. His work has been featured in solo and group exhibitions across the United States and internationally in China, Denmark, Korea, Mexico, and New Zealand.

Marshall has held artist residencies at the Sanbao Ceramic Art Institute in Jingdezhen, China; Guldagergaard – International Ceramic Research Center in Denmark; Taller de Terreno in Mexico; and the Cobb Mountain Art and Ecology Project in California. He is also the founder of the University of Kansas’s Interdisciplinary Ceramic Research Center.
